Coordinated through Professional Testing (PTI)

The International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) is increasing its leadership role in establishing professional standards and promoting adherence through the provision of a formal, voluntary, professional certification examination to become a Certified Medical Publication Professional (CMPP).

CMPP Credential

The CMPP credential denotes a level of knowledge, experience, and professional responsibility required to effectively plan, develop, and implement a medical publications program. Further, the CMPP credentialing effort demonstrates ISMPP’s commitment to the medical publication planning profession, and its commitment to providing the public and the professional and lay media with reassurance that the industry is striving toward achieving best practices that ensure scientific and professional integrity in medical publication.

Application information

Before scheduling an examination appointment, you must meet all requirements, complete the ISMPP application, pay the designated fee and receive an authorization-to-test email. For additional information, visit the ISMPP website or contact Danita Sutton at ISMPP by email at cmpp@ismpp.org or via phone 1-888-252-7904.

All requests for testing accommodations should be made through ISMPP during the application process. If you have already been approved to test by ISMPP and would like to add accommodations to your exam authorization, please contact ISMPP at cmpp@ismpp.org.
